Warm mornings: something cooked before anything cold
Updated 29 October 2026
Warm mornings is a 14-day Ojafi plan: start each day with something warm and cooked, such as porridge, eggs or soup, before anything cold. Nothing is taken away. At the end you know whether a warm start changes your energy and digestion through the afternoon, judged from your own days rather than a rule.
What it asks
Something warm and cooked before anything cold, every morning. Porridge, eggs, a bowl of soup, last night’s leftovers warmed up. Your usual coffee can come after.
| Length | 14 days |

| What you give up | Nothing |
Why try it
Plenty of people swear by a warm breakfast and plenty never eat one. Neither group usually knows whether it makes a difference to them. Two weeks of notes answers it for you.
How Ojafi plans work
- Every plan has a length and says up front what you will know at the end.
- You log meals and how they sat, about a minute a day.
- At the end Ojafi tells you which of the plan’s claims held for you, and which did not.
- No plan takes a food away. Ojafi suggests what to add or when to eat, never what to cut.
Plans run in the Ojafi iPhone app, which is in review now. The food journal they build on works in your browser today.
Questions people also ask
- Does it have to be porridge?
- No. Anything warm and cooked counts, including leftovers.
